Undergraduate and Masters Scholarships Netflix/GOBELINS 

With a view to recruiting and promoting new Animation talents, Netflix and GOBELINS are currently offering six scholarships for students from the African continent for the September 2021 intake.

The scholarships will benefit six students who will successfully be admitted to GOBELINS’ Bachelor of Arts in Character Animation and Animated Filmmaking and Master of Arts in Character Animation and Animated Filmmaking. 

They will cover the tuition fees for the entire length of the programme (3 years for the BA, 2 years for the MA).

Benefits of Netflix/GOBELINS Undergraduate / Masters Scholarships

8900€ per year for European citizens and 13500€ for non European citizens. Scholarships opportunities (through GOBELINS, Odon Vallet and/or CROUS)

The scholarships will benefit six students who will successfully be admitted to GOBELINS.

Undergraduate and Masters Scholarships - Netflix/GOBELINS

Requirements for Netflix/GOBELINS

Undergraduate Scholarship Qualification:

  • Holder of a general, technological or professional high school degree within the year that follows graduation
  • Graduates of the current year (2021) or the previous year (2020), possibility of derogation on request (see admission procedures)
  • Non European students shall be at least 18 for the visa process. Graduates in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

APTITUDES

  • Regular practice of drawing with disposition to the expression of movement, volume and perspective
  • Open-minded
  • Creative and capable of imagining graphic worlds and stories
  • Good general and artistic culture
  • Aptitude for teamwork
  • Real motivation for learning animation film techniques, both 2D and 3D

Masters Scholarship Qualification:

  • Bachelor in Animation or Animated Filmmaking and/or 3 years of professional experience in the field
  • No age limit

APTITUDES

  • 2D and 3D animation
  • Modeling and 3D rendering
  • Design and background, color, storyboard or character design
  • Proficiency in compositing with After effects
  • Animation with TV Paint, Animate, Toon Boom, Maya
  • Ability to work in teams
  • Solid command of English

Interview date, Process and Venue for Netflix/GOBELINS Undergraduate / Masters Scholarships:

Scholarships selection results for both programmes will be announced in June 2021 for students to start their academic year in September 2021.

Interested and qualified? Go to GOBELINS on formations.cci-paris-idf.fr to apply

Please follow the instruction as follows and submit:

  • 5 lines about your background, your education and motivation
  • Your last diploma (or certificate)
  • Your CV

GOBELINS will send you a validation email within 10 days after your registration. We will also specify if you need to ask for a waiver, depending on the programme.

ATTENTION:

Once the validation is done, you will be able to return to your online application as many times as necessary and complete it by uploading the documents to confirm your registration (CV, cover letter, ID, last 3 school reports, blog URL, etc.).
