Clarendon Fund Scholarships:

The University of Oxford's Clarendon Fund is a significant program for graduate student financial aid that awards about 200 new scholarships each year. 

At the graduate level at the University of Oxford, Clarendon Scholarships are given out based on academic excellence and promise in all degree-granting fields.

Clarendon Fund Scholarships Study Field:

All graduate-level degree-granting courses in any discipline are acceptable. This includes all master's and DPhil programmes, including full- and part-time. The Courses page contains a list of every graduate course the University of Oxford offers.

The grant is not available for postgraduate Certificate or Diploma programs.

Clarendon Fund Scholarships Value:

All Clarendon Scholarships fully pay study costs, including tuition.
  • The generous yearly award for living expenses given to scholars enrolled in full-time courses will be at least £15,609 in 2021–22. 
  • A study support grant will be given to students enrolled in part-time courses to help with non-fee costs. 
  • A study support grant will be given to students enrolled in part-time courses to help with non-fee costs.
The scholarships are often provided for the entire time that you are required to pay tuition to the university, which is typically the same amount of time as the duration of your study.

Graduate students from all across the world who demonstrate exceptional academic merit and promise are given Clarendon Scholarships. 

All candidates who submit an application for a new master's or DPhil program before the January admissions deadline are eligible for scholarships.

How to Apply for the Clarendon Fund Scholarships?

You will be automatically considered for a Clarendon Scholarship if you submit your application for a full-time or part-time master's or DPhil program at Oxford before the deadline in December or January for your program. 

There is no separate application form for the Clarendon Scholarships, thus you do not need to send any additional materials. 

To be eligible for the scholarship, you must submit your application by the December or January deadline (6 or 20 January 2023) for your course.
