How to Apply for the Holland Scholarship

Holland Scholarship for Non-EEA International Students is available to students who wish to study in the Netherlands. The grant is awarded for 1 year and can only be received once.

The Holland Scholarship

The Holland Scholarship, funded by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, is for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to study at one of Holland's research universities or universities of applied sciences for their bachelor's or master's degree.

The Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, as well as many Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences, are funding this scholarship.

Holland Scholarship Value:

The scholarship is valued at €5,000. This will be given to you throughout your first year of studies. Please keep in mind that this is not a full-fee scholarship.

How to Apply for the Holland Scholarship

Criteria for application

1. Your nationality is not from the European Economic Area.
2. You are applying to one of the participating Dutch higher education institutions for a full-time bachelor's or master's degree program.
3. You meet the prerequisites of the institution you want to attend. These can be found on the institution's website.
4. You do not hold a diploma from a Dutch educational institution.

Holland Scholarship Application Deadline:

On November 1, 2021, the application period for the academic year 2022-2023 will open. The deadline to apply is either February 1st, 2022 or May 1st, 2022. Please double-check the deadline on the website of the institution of your choosing.

When will I know if I've been admitted to the Scholarship?

When you are admitted to the Holland Scholarship, you will get an email notification.
